AITF is always improving, with faster processing times for applications and more funding options. Award limits have been removed, resulting in an SME being eligible for more than one of any of our Program investments. 

AITF has updated all our documentation, including the Guides, as part of our ongoing response to the needs of Alberta’s small & medium technology enterprises. 

As our online application forms are part of this change, any applications that were ‘un-submitted’ as of 4 pm MST Friday, November 13, 2015 are no longer available and will need to be re-created. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope you will find the improvements to the forms beneficial as you commercialize your technology.

Further improvements have been made to the following programs:

AITF manages a number of high-demand technology commercialization programs on behalf of the Government of Alberta with a growing number of subscribers. Due to the competitive nature of these programs, AITF searches for high-value investments with a strong focus on commercialization that will provide economic and social benefits for Alberta.

AITF carefully reviews each application received. Investment decisions are based on a holistic evaluation of the applying company, the project, the technology, the market, the impact and/or benefit of the project to the Province of Alberta, the clarity, structure and compliance with program requirements, and the funding history between AITF and the applicant.

These forms may be amended by AITF in its sole and absolute discretion from time to time, with notice of the amendment together with any amendments provided on this website.  No additional notice is required to any party regarding any amendments.  The Applicant understands its obligation to review AITF’s website periodically and ensure the parties involved in the Project understand the current terms governing the Investment.
