AITF has updated all our documentation, including the Program Guide for Micro-Voucher, Voucher, PDP, as part of our ongoing response to the needs of Alberta’s small & medium technology enterprises.
The Micro-Voucher Program, Voucher Program and Product Demonstration Program have been designed to support innovation and creative problem solving in Alberta small and medium enterprises. The purpose of the programs is to stimulate the development and commercialization of novel technological and/or business solutions, while generating material risk-weighted returns on investment to the Province of Alberta based on economic, social and/or environmental metrics. Depending on their needs, eligible companies can apply for funding up to $300,000 to help cover the costs for the purpose of business and technology development.
The Micro-Voucher, Voucher and Product Demonstration Programs operate on an open call basis, meaning applications are accepted and reviewed on a continuum. Information on the outcome of the application will be emailed, as a PDF document, to the applicant representative approximately 6 – 8 weeks after Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures receives the application. Information will not be provided over the telephone or via email prior to the official letter release.
To complete online applications for these programs, please visit our Applicant Portal. It is important that applicant companies, service/product providers and project partners familiarize themselves with the Program Guide for Micro-Vouchers, Vouchers and Product Demonstration Program prior to application. For more detail on the application guidelines and to download PDF versions of the application forms (called Application Aids), please visit Industry Funding Forms & Guidelines.
All applicants are expected to be ready to commit to the proposed program project, both financially and time-wise, at the time of application (arrangements to have an authorized person to sign the Agreement letter and required deposit payment, if required, must be in place, as AITF will not allow a delay for this reason.
